LHC Column Type H Beam Submerged Arc Welding Machine

LHC column type H Beam Submerged Arc Welding Machine is for welding H Beam in automatic line. As explained in product category of H Beam submerged arc welding equipment, although in theory it can be used as individual machine, in actual practice this is very rare the case.

 

Both being as SAW equipment for H Beam production, there exist Common Point and Difference between Column type (LHC) and Gantry type H Beam Submerged Arc Welding Equipment (LHAZ, LHAC):


Common Point:

  1)  Welding style: Both LHC and LHA perform SAW on H Beam in the form of machine body travelling along the

     rail, and the workpiece H Beam kept fixed during welding process;

  2) Outsourced units, including SAW power supply, wire feeder, flux recovery, and arc tracing unit are exactly the

      same;

  3) SAW welding process control, including parameters, are the same;

  4) For this reason, operators who work on column type H Beam submerged arc welding equipment LHC can work

      on gantry type LHA without any problem;

  5) For producing welding H Beam, both kinds of SAW machine need to work together with previous step of 

      Assembly machine, and next step of Straightening machine. And these Assembly and Straightening machines

     are the same as well.


Difference:

  1) Model: The column style of machine body (open structure) allows for free extension of H Beam along the rail,

      so there is no model variation in LHC automatic H Beam submerged arc welding equipment ---only one LHC to

       accomplish “One size fitting for all” of welding H Beam;

  2) Welding station quantity: One welding station and one rail for one set of LHC, compared with two in the case

      of LHA gantry type;

  3) Hence, quantity of the above-mentioned outsourced units for one set of machine is different: 2 sets of each

      kind for gantry H Beam submerged arc welding equipment, and 1 set of each kind for column type LHC;

  4) Operating position: For gantry style, operator stands on the floor and walks along with traveling of gantry; For

     Column style, operator stands on the moving column and trolley, and need not to walk;

  5) Quantity of machine to purchase: For gantry style H Beam submerged arc welding equipment, one set of the

     machine can work individually (Which means customer purchase one set is fine); While for LHC column type, in

     an automatic H Beam production line, this equipment comes in 4 sets (Correspond with 4 seams of a piece of H

     Beam), which means customer need to purchase four sets for one line;

  6) Conceivably, price of one set of LHC is obviously lower than that of one set of LHA, around 60% of the latter
