1. Application Site of LHC Column H Beam Welding Machine:

1) Application: The attached first photo denotes on the typical application site of Wuxi JACK LHC model Column I Beam Submerged Arc Welding Machine: This model is basically for being applied in automatic H Beam Production Line;

2) As explained in its product category, although in theory LHC model can be used as individual machine, in actual practice this is very rare the case:

2. The Similarities and Differences between Column type LHC and Gantry type LHA H Beam Gantry Welding Machine:

Both being applied as dedicated H Beam Welding Machine in the field of welding H Beam production, there exist Common Point and Difference between Gantry type (LHAC and LHAZ models)  with (LHC model) equipment. The major points can be as below:

1) Common Point between LHA and LHC Column I Beam SAW Machine:

a) Welding Style:

i. Welding Mode: Both LHC and LHA machines perform SAW (Submerged arc welding) on H Beam, in the form of machine body moving along frame rail in adjustable welding velocity, and the workpiece H Beam being kept fixed during welding process:

ii. Welding Position: Also shown in the above photo, both 2 machines perform welding on H Beam in the position of 45° fillet welding, as shown in the above sketch;

b) Outsourced Function Units:

This includes:

- SAW power supply;

- Welding wire feeder;

- Welding flux recovery;

- Welding arc tracing unit 

Are exactly the same type and specification between LHA and LHC:

c) SAW Welding Process Control:

These includes: Process control parameters (Welding current, welding voltage, welding velocity), are the same for same specification of H Beam in LHA and LHC models machine;

d) Operator Position: For this reason, operators who work on the LHC model machine can shift his duty to work on gantry type LHA model machine without any problem;

e) Previous and Subsequent Machines: For producing welding H Beam, both kinds of SAW H Beam Welding Machine need to work together with the previous step of the H Beam Assembly Machine, and next step of H Beam Straightening Machine. And the match assembly and straightening machines are the same as well for LHA and LHC models;

2) Difference between LHC and LHA H Beam Gantry Welding Machine:

a) Structure and Model of H Beam Welding Machine:

i.  The half open column style of machine body (open structure) allows for free extension of H Beam along the rail, so there is no model variation in the LHC machine ---only one LHC to accomplish “One size fitting for all” of manufacturing welding H Beam:

ii. Comparatively, due to the enclosed mechanical frame in LHA series H Beam Gantry Welding Machine, there are series of models (LHA4Z, LHA5Z, LHA55Z, LHA4C, LHA5C) to cater for varied sizes of H Beam;

b) Welding Station Quantity: One welding station and one rail for one set of LHC model, compared with two welding stations in the case of LHA model;

c) Hence, quantity of the above mentioned outsourced welding function units for one set of machine is different: Two sets of each kind for LHA gantry machine, and one set of each kind for LHC column machine;

d)  Operating Position in SAW H Beam Welding Machine:

i.  For Column style LHC I Beam SAW Machine, operator stands on the moving column and trolley, and need not to walk. Shown as below: (Fig.5

ii.  While for gantry style LHA model machine, operator stands on the floor and walks along with movement of the machine gantry frame;

e) Quantity of SAW H Beam Welding Machine to Purchase:

i. For gantry style LHA model machine, one set of the machine can work individually (Which means customer purchase one set is fine), usually worked in flexible arranged working site;

ii. While for LHC model machine, in an automatic H Beam production line, this model comes in four sets (Correspond with the four welding seams in a piece of H Beam), which means customer need to purchase four sets of LHC model machine for one automatic line;

f) Conceivably, price of one set of LHC model is obviously lower than that of one set of LHA model, around 60% of the LHA quotation.
