A. Usage and Application of I H Beam Straightening Machine:

1. Two Major Types:

1) Straightening on flange upward deformation, caused from heat input after SAW welding, this is accomplished with I H Beam Flange Straightening Machine:

a) Principle of H Beam flange straightening, with H Beam in vertical position: (Fig.1)

b) Wuxi JACK HJ800 model machine straightens on flange of vertical H Beam: (Fig.2)

2) Straightening on longitudinal deflection of H Beam, caused from SAW welding/ improper transportation or storage, this is realized with I H Beam Horizontal Longitudinal Straightening Machine:

a) Length direction crooked H Beam, which should be straightened along its lengthways body: (Fig.3)

b) Performance test on Wuxi JACK exported to Belarus HJ20 model machine, by longitudinal straightening on a piece of H Beam: (Fig.4)

2. Work Station of I H Beam Flange Straightening Machine:

This machine is the fourth set of core equipment in layout of I H Beam Production Line, following:

1) CNC Strip Plate Cutting Machine – Cut out strip plates from carbon steel plate;

2) H Beam Assembly and Tack Welding Machine;

3) H Beam Submerged Arc Welding Machine.

B. Classification on Wuxi JACK I H Beam Flange Straightening Machine:

Rich Assortment of Machine:

1) In practical application, for machines to straighten on H Beam and other steel structure workpieces, to meet on various requirement from customers, there exist numerous types of machines for selection;

2) Of all the machines in this field, H Beam flange straightening account for majority use, over 90%;

3) Further more, based on laying orientation of H Beam during flange straightening, this machine has two general types of:

1. Vertical I H Beam Flange Straightening Machine:

This refers to flange of H Beam is in the position of “Vertical standing”:

1) Orientation of vertical stranding H Beam for its flange straightening: (Fig.5)

2) Wuxi JACK YTJ80 model heavy duty Hydraulic I H Beam Straightening Machine, straightens out vertical orientated H Beam: (Fig.6)

3) Depending on source of straightening action driving force, vertical orientation machine includes HYJ series motor drive type, and YTJ series hydraulic type;

2. I H Beam Horizontal Flange Straightening Machine:

1) This refers to flange of H Beam is in the position of “Horizontal lying down”:

2) Orientation of horizontal flat H Beam: (Fig.7)

3) The flat position H Beam being straightened, in Wuxi JACK WJ25 model machine: (Fig.8)

4) This kind of horizontal machine only has hydraulic drive operating mode;

Using Volume Distribution on 2 Types of Machines: In most majority conditions, when mentioning on I H Beam Straightening Machine, it in default refers to H Beam vertical standing type models: HYJ and YTJ models, which account for over 90% of practical application in H Beam Production Line.

C. Classification on Vertical Type Motor and Hydraulic I H Beam Straightening Machine:

For vertical style H Beam machine, depending on its driving mode on straightening process, the equipment falls into two sub groups of:

1. HYJ Series Motor Drive I H Beam Flange Straightening Machine:

Wuxi JACK HYJ800 being in mass production: (Fig.9)

1) Straightening Capacity: This series machine is for straightening H Beam flange with thickness up to 40mm;

2) The corresponding H Beam raw material grade is: Chinese carbon steel Q235, with its tensile strength in the range of 370~ 510MPa;

3) H Beam Straightening speed is in the range of 6,300 ~ 17,000 mm/min.;

2. YTJ Series Hydraulic I H Beam Straightening Machine:

Wuxi JACK YTJ60 model machine works at customer workshop, with a piece of finished straightened H Beam, laying on its output conveyor roller table: (Fig.10)

1) Straightening Capacity: This series machine is for straightening H Beam flange with thickness up to 40~ 80mm;

2) The corresponding H Beam raw material grade is: Chinese carbon steel Q345, tensile strength in the scope of 510~ 600MPa;

3) So, YTJ series hydraulic drive is more heavy than HYJ series motor drive.

D. Hydraulic I H Beam Horizontal Straightening Machine:

In practical application of H Beam and other steel structure production, such as BOX Beam, there are 2 types of important but not frequently used machines. Which, because H Beam is in position of flat lying down, these 2 types of machines are named as “Horizontal straightening”:

1. WJ Series Hydraulic I H Beam Horizontal Flange Straightening Machine:

1) Straightening Capacity: The max. H Beam flange thickness that can be straightened here has 2 grades: 25/ 40mm;

2) The corresponding H Beam raw material is Chinese carbon steel grade of Q235, tensile strength 370~ 510MPa;

3) Why Small Volume of This Machine: It has 50% higher quotation than HYJ and YTJ series vertical orientation machine, because of double equipped straightening units, and hence efficiency;

2. I H Beam Horizontal Longitudinal Straightening Machine:

 1) Usage: This machine is used for straightening the integral piece of H Beam deformation along its lengthwise direction, following H Beam Submerged Arc Welding Machine;

2) Principle: This machine has different structure/ straightening principle/ operation mode, from other kinds of straightening machines on H Beam;

3) Wuxi JACK HJ300 model machine straightens on H Beam, along its longitudinal way: (Fig.11)
