1. Automatic Steel Structure I H Beam Production Welding Line:

1) Feature: Workpieces flow through work stations by means of logistics units: Overturning equipment: 60°/ 90°/ 180° stationary or motor drive moving type, steel conveyor, etc.; The entire welded H Beam production is implemented fully automatically;
2) Advantages: Automatic I H Beam Line has the least degree of human intervention. WIP (Work In Progress) workpieces are manipulated for operation under machine control. The entire process is fulfilled with fully automatic and safe mode;
3) “Disadvantage”: Automatic I H Beam Line involves relative larger workshop land occupation and more investment on equipment and Machine for H Beam Production. Besides, update on its layout involves longer time;

2. Semi-Automatic Manual Steel Structure I H Beam Line:

2) General speaking, it goes through 5 major steps, and involves operation on 5 major types of Machine for H Beam Production:
 

1. The 1st Step: 1st Operation Plate Cut Off with CNC Strip Plate Cutting Machine:

1) This step is for cutting out raw materials on making welded T/ I/ H Beams, by means of Oxygen fuel flame cutting;
2) The long strip steel plates cut from carbon steel plate will be applied as flange and web of welded H Beam and T Beam;
 

2. The 2nd Step: H Beam Fit Up and Stitch Welding in Assembly Machine for H Beam Production:

1) In this step, first one piece of flange and web respectively will be fit up and stitch welded into T Beam;
2) Then, the WIP (Work in process) T Beam is flipped 180°, and sent into the I H Beam Assembly and Tack Welding Machine again, by means of traveling crane;
3) The 2nd piece of flange is loaded into the I H Beam Assembly Machine, to produce T Beam into H Beam;
 

3. The 3rd Step: Large Current Submerged Arc Welding in SAW Machine for H Beam Production:

1) In Automatic I H Beam Production Welding Line:

a) Model and Quantity of Machine: There are 4 sets of LHC model trolley moving I H Beam SAW Welding Machine, being deployed in a consecutive straight line;
b) Task of Machine: Each set of the LHC machine is responsible for implementing on fabricating 1 piece of welding seam on H Beam;
c) H Beam Placement for Welding: During SAW welding, H Beam is laid on group of 60° overturning rack along side the LHC Machine for H Beam Production, for carrying out 45° submerged arc welding;
d) Change H Beam Orientation: Every time 1 piece of welding seam is completed, the H Beam is flipped 90°, and sent to next set of LHC SAW Welding Machine, until all the 4 pieces of welding seams are finished welding on H Beam;

2) In Semi-Automatic Manual I H Beam Line:

a) Model and Quantity of Machine: There are 1 or 2 sets of LHA Gantry Moving, or LHT T Frame Open Structure I H Beam SAW Welding Machine in the line:
b) Task of Machine: One or two sets of the LHA/ LHT I H Beam Welding Machine finishes all the 4 pieces of welding seams fabrication;
c) For this purpose, the workpiece H Beam should be flipped 90° 4 times on supporting rack of the Machine for H Beam Production, to perform SAW on H Beam;
 

4. The 4th Step: H Beam Flange Straightening in H Beam Production Welding Line:

1) Flange Deformation: After the large current submerged arc welding, H Beam flanges usually is distorted upward certain degree due to heat input, which should be flattened out in I H Beam Flange Straightening Machine;
2) Longitudinal Deformation: Sometimes, the distortion along H Beam lengthways is also obvious, which should be straightened with I H Beam Horizontal Press Straightening Machine;
 

5. The 5th Step: End of H Beam Line: I H Beam End Face Milling Machine:

1) This step is for milling on end faces of fabricated H Beam, so that these finished working parts can be jointed together for carrying out Steel Structure construction;
2) When applied in welded H Beam Line, the model of H Beam End Face Milling Machine is DX15xx: The Max. milling height is 1500mm, with varying horizontal end face milling stroke of 1,500mm (DX1515) to 4,000mm (DX1540);
 

6. Material Flow among Steel Structure Machine for H Beam Production:

1) In automatic I H Beam Line, workpieces 60°/ 90°/ 180° overturning and transportation is fulfilled by means of moving or stationary 60°/ 90°/ 180° hydraulic drive Overturning Equipment and Steel Conveyor. Operators work is safe and relieved;
2) In manual I H Beam Line, the corresponding material flow is basically completed by operators with operating on traveling cranes, and sometimes 60° overturning racks at H Beam 3 in 1 Fabrication Machine. So, operators need to take care on safe operation.
