A. Application of T Beam Welding Production Line:


1. Usage: T Beam Welding Production Line is for assembling and fabricating welded T Beam of different sizes, which are important raw materials adopted in two industries: Shipbuilding and Steel Structure Construction:

1) Steel structure use SAW (Submerged arc welding T Beam: (Fig.1)

2) Shipbuilding use CO2 welding T Beam: (Fig.2)

Which are More Important: In practical application, because T Beam plays much more important role in Shipbuilding than in Steel Structure building, the default meaning on T Beam is for Shipbuilding use;

2. 2 Groups of T Beam Production Machine:


1) Different Machines: Correspondingly, due to the different technical requirement in the two industries, the corresponding machines applied in production line of T Beam are also different: Under the condition of being applied in Shipbuilding, compared with being applied in Steel Structure;

2) The major difference of machines between Shipbuilding and Steel Structure mainly lies in 2 aspects:

a) Plate edge treatment before assembly and welding-- Edge Rounding Machine;

b) The exact finished welding mode when fabricating on T Beam.


B. T Beam Welding Production Line for Steel Structure Versus Shipbuilding:


1. T Beam Welding Production Line for Steel Structure:


1) Here the process technology of the T Beam line is very similar to H Beam Production Line, only removing below two steps of:

a) From T Beam to H Beam: The 2nd piece of flange to be assembled and welded onto T Beam;

b) H Beam Flange Straightening after SAW welding;

2) For these reasons, steel structure use T Beam can be viewed as semi-finished workpieces of H Beam, which plays supporting role in construction;

3) Under minority conditions, when thickness of T Beam flange and web plates are in the scope of 3mm ~ 10mm, which means producing small and light T Beam, the adopted welding technique is CO2 gas shielded welding, instead of conventional large current SAW welding;

2. T Beam Welding Production Line for Shipbuilding:


As the mainstream application of welding T Beam, there are some unique features with this type of production line:

1) Plate Pretreatment: The end plate (Flange in H Beam) of T Beam need to be edge trimmed:

2) Finished Welding:

a) Multiple Welding: The stiffeners (Web in H Beam) of T Beam are welded several pieces in a row, instead of one piece one time as in the case of H Beam production;

b) Welding Technique: Besides, in T Beam CO2 Welding Machine, the welding is with CO2 welding, instead of SAW in H Beam production:

3. The major common point with H Beam production is, there also should be T Beam assembly step preceding finished welding, with T Beam Assembly and Tack Welding Machine.


C. Process Technology of T Beam Welding Production Line:


To sum up, process technology of T Beam production mainly involves below steps of:

1. Strip Plate Cut for preparing end plate (Flange) and stiffener (Web) of T Beam making;

2. End plate (Flange) Trimming and Rounding: This is for the purpose of end plate edge deburring, so as to raise painting adhesive strength of T Beam. It is an indispensable step for Shipbuilding T Beam Production Machine;

3. T Beam Assembly and CO2 Tack Welding

4. T Beam Finished Welding:

1) In Shipbuilding T Beam Welding Production Line, this is accomplished with CO2 continuous welding;

2) In Steel Structure Line, this is accomplished with SAW submerged arc welding;

5. Stiffener (Web) Straightening (Optional)


D. Main Equipment of T Beam Production Machine:


1. Strip Plate Cut: CNC-CG4000 CNC Strip Plate Cutting Machine;

2. End Plate Trimming and Rounding: RH800/ RH1000 strip plate Edge Rounding Machine;

3. T Beam Assembling and CO2 Tack Welding: Z10 Automatic T Beam Assembly and Tack Welding Machine;

4. Finished Welding in T Beam CO2 Welding Machine:


1) For Shipbuilding: LBA10 Automatic CO2 GMAW;

2) For Steel Structure: 90% Use: LHA/ LHC/ LHT Automatic SAW;10% Use: With CO2 gas shielded welding;

5. Stiffener Straightening: T Beam Straightening Machine (Optional)

6. Operation Manner:

1) The above listed T Beam Production Machine can either work individually, or integrally as automatic T Beam Welding Production Line,

2) Assisted with Conveyor /Auxiliary equipment like Steel Conveyor and Flipping Equipment;
