Technical Feature: CNC Shape Cutting Machine incorporates numerical control technology, thermal cutting technique, and ingenious mechanical design into one set of machine tool. Its primary units are:
1) Role and Job: It constitutes main body and trunk of the machine, in the form of servo motor drive moving gantry. During work, mechanical gantry moves along parallel cutting rails along longitudinal direction. Together with movement of cutting torch along its horizontal beam, fulfilling X and Y axis two dimensional shape cutting on sheet metal steel plate;
2) Table Structure: Another kind of small model CNC Plasma Cutting Machine has small size (The Max. 2,000mm) worktable, stationary, for carrying out fine plasma cutting on non-ferrous metals (Stainless steel/ Zinc);
3) Cutting Torches in CNC Flame Plasma Cutting Machine:
a) Assembly Form: Cutting torches are installed onto motor drive elevating lifter. The lifter is assembled onto servo motor drive carriage. The carriage is assembled onto front side horizontal beam of machine moving gantry;
b) Horizontal Shape Cutting: Under servo motor drive, this motorized carriage moves leftward and rightward along the horizontal beam of moving gantry, fulfilling X axis cutting motion in the machine;
1) Principle: During thermal gas cutting, mechanical moving gantry moves along the 15m long longitudinal parallel cutting rails, in working speed of cutting, which is controlled with servo driver;
2) Length: 15m is standard length of longitudinal parallel cutting rails in the machine, and can be longer or shorter, depending on customer practical condition;
3) Precision Control: Linearity accuracy of the longitudinal parallel cutting rails along its entire length, greatly affects on cutting quality of the CNC Strip Plate Cutting Machine;
4) Cutting Platform: Workpiece (Sheet metal steel plate) is laid onto cutting platform during cutting. To saving machine investment and logistics for customer, this cutting platform is usually made by customer, with design print provided by Wuxi JACK;
1) Role and Main Functions: CNC is “brain” in the machine: In real time manner, it generates cutting program, and converts the program into action command, and sends out commanding signal to execution cells (Servo motor) of the machine, monitoring on and correcting the entire cutting process;
2) Optional Brands: There are several available brands of CNC controller, which are dedicated control system for the machine;
1) Flame Shape Cutting, includes Oxygen and Acetylene/ Propane cutting gas circuit, cutting gas regulating panel, cutting gas integral control group, capacitance style cutting torch height controller;
2) Plasma Shape Cutting, includes plasma power supply, arc voltage cutting torch height controller, compressed air and nitrogen gas circuit.
1. Cutting Gas: Flame cutting machine utilizes Oxygen fuel as its primary thermal cutting gas, assisted with Acetylene or Propane;
1) Material: Flame cutting is most suitable on ferrous sheet metal, especially carbon steel plate;
2) Sheet Metal Thickness: For cutting thick metal plate, especially thickness above 50mm, currently flame cutting is the only feasible solution;
1) The Lowest Investment Budget: This is the most salient feature with flame cutting machine. Compared with other types of CNC Flame Plasma Cutting Machine, be it plasma cutting or laser cutting, flame cutting machine has the lowest quotation;
2) The Lowest Running Cost: Without any consumables as in the case of plasma cutting or laser cutting, running cost of CNC flame Cutting Machine is very small: Only involved with low power electricity and cutting gas consumption;
1) Relative Slow Cutting Speed: Flame cutting has lower productivity than plasma cutting and laser cutting: In the range of 100 ~ 1000 mm/min., recommended velocity is 500~ 600 mm/min.;
2) Cutting Slag Generated: Cutting kerf from flame cutting has certain slags, and sometimes need to be trimmed off after cutting;
According to cutting form, CNC flame cutting Machine has 3 sub-groups of:
1) CNC Strip Plate Cutting Machine: For implementing on both shape cutting and strip cutting;
2) Flame Strip Cutting Machine: For implementing on flame strip cutting only;
3) Flame Triple Cutting Machine: For carrying out edge beveling with flame triple cutting;
The above 3 types of function units can be either manufactured individually into different sole purpose machines, or with functions integrated into single set of the machine;
1) Effective Cutting Width Scope: Machine models is based on plate width, from CNC-CG3000 to CNC-CG10000;
2) Model Implication: Taking CNC-CG3000 as example, it refers to parallel cutting rail span of the machine is 3000mm. Correspondingly, the largest width of sheet metal plate is 2200mm (3000mm minus 800mm);
3) Conventional Models: In practical application, the most common seen models of machine are: CNC-CG4000, and CNC-CG5000, and CNC-CG6000;

4) More versatile mechanical structure available: Besides conventional gantry frame, also high precision table structure/ Underwater plasma cutting;
1) Mechanical frame: Majority is in the form of motor drive moving gantry;
2) Plasma cutting system: Different models of plasma power supply/ cutting torch/ consumables are outsourced parts of the machine. This accounts for large share of machine manufacturing cost and investment budget;
3) Available on cutting small thickness plate: From 0.3mm to 6mm;
1) For thin to medium thickness only: Optimal range is 0.3mm ~ 45mm for quality cutting. In theory 50mm is available;
2) Higher running cost than flame cutting: Because of consumables kit involved every working day: Nozzle/ cap/ electrode..., so, proper service and maintenance on the machine is of vital importance;
3) Negative affection on work surrounding: Fairly fumes and light are generated in plasma cutting, bringing along negative impact on operators health and working environment;
4) Obviously higher machine purchase budget than CNC Flame Cutting Machine;
