Check List on Production Procedure of CNC Plasma Cutting Machine:
1) Usage: In practical use, many sheet metal plates have uneven surface, especially those with large size of small to medium thickness (Less than 10mm). This will produce changing gap between cutting torch tip and surface of sheet metal, which brings along negative impact on cutting quality on finished workpieces;
2) Type for Plasma Cutting: To maintain constant distance between plasma cutting torch tip and sheet metal, the plasma cutting torch should be equipped with cutting torch height controller. For plasma cutting mode, the corresponding cutting torch height controller is arc voltage type.
1) Significance: This is of vital importance for managing on stable/ smooth and accurate performance of plasma and flame cutting in the machine, not only its movement along X axis along transverse direction (Shorter, correspond with cutting width), but also Y axis along longitudinal direction (Longer, correspond with cutting length);
2) Advantages: Linear guiderail has light deadweight and little inertia, which guarantees on accurate and precise guiding of cutting torch during flame and plasma cutting operation, even cutting around sharp corner of sheet metal.
1) Lateral linearity of main rail is 0.3mm/ 1000mm;
2) Lateral linearity of supporting rail is 0.8mm/ 1000mm;
3) Levelness of rail surface in the machine is ±0.18mm/ 1000mm;
4) Positioning Accuracy of plasma cutting torch is ±0.25mm.
The four most critical units for fully guaranteeing on successful running of the machine include:
1) CNC controller;
2) Servo drivers and driving motors;
3) Plasma power supply and its consumables;
4) Cutting torch and its IHS (Initial height sensor).
1) Major Type: Account for over 90% actual use, of integral fabricated servo motor drive gantry moving structure, which is stress relieved thru advanced heat treatment. It has light deadweight and high strength. The machine model is from CNC-CG3000 to CNC-CG8000;
2) Niche Product of compact size stationary table, usually in the size of 1,500mm to 2,000mm width (CNC-CGT1500 to CNC-CGT2000), being used in the field of fine plasma cutting on stainless steel.
1) CNC-CG series machine is in the form of “Modularization”: On the basis of basic skeleton machine structure, function units are assembled, thus come into being various optional configurations of machine;
2) CNC Plasma Cutter machine has same structure as CNC flame cutting machine, and can have functions integrated together. This is more practical and useful form of CNC Plasma Flame Cutting Machine;
3) Comparatively, CNC laser cutting machine differs from CNC Plasma Flame Cutting Machine, in view of machine structure and function group;
The components/ parts/ elements, and assemblies that are assembled into a set of CNC Cutting Machine can be divided into below 4 major groups of:
1) Mechanical Main Frame: As shown in the above photos: Mechanical main frame is a complex of motor drive moving gantry, with cross section in the shape of inverted “T” box structure;
2) Double Drive: Both sides of the gantry are installed with 750W servo motor, simultaneously driving longitudinal movement of the gantry along cutting rails at both sides of the gantry. This come into being “double drive” of the CNC Plasma Cutter Machine, and fully guarantees on smooth/ stable/ precise cutting procedure of the machine;
3) Horizontal Way X Axis: During plasma and flame cutting, the cutting torches move along horizontal beam at the front facade of the gantry, carrying out X axis movement of cutting torches. This transverse movement of cutting torch is also driven with servo motor: 400W power usually;
4) Longitudinal Way Y Axis: The bottom surface of gantry is installed with guide wheels, guiding the gantry moving along parallel longitudinal rails, carrying out Y axis displacement of cutting torch for CNC plasma cutting;
Based on structure of the machine mechanical frame, machine for plasma cutting can be grouped into 3 types of moving Gantry frame, stationary table structure, and underwater type:
1) This structure takes over 90% of the machine use. The common seen models are CNC-CG4000, and CNC-CG5000;
2) For 4,000mm span machine (CNC-CG4000 model), because of its wide use, there are 2 options of: Sole purpose plasma cutting configuration, and integrated function flame plasma cutting configuration;
1) This approaches to laser cutting in terms of workpiece precision and cutting speed:
2) Such “high end” machine is adopted with fine plasma cutting power supply, for cutting on thin stainless steel/ Al/ Alloy material small size sheet metal;
1) Advantage: This is for the purpose of getting environmental friendly operation: Fumes and lights generated are absorbed into water table during plasma cutting;
2) Downside: The cutting capacity (Thickness and cutting speed) of the underwater cutting machine is compromised 15%, compared with conventional dry type CNC Plasma Cutting Machine.
