A. Usage of HJ20 BOX H Beam Longitudinal Straighten Machine:


1. Feature: HJ20 is the smallest model of Wuxi JACK HJ series BOX H Beam Horizontal Press Straighten Machine:

1) Tested and painted Wuxi JACK HJ20, waiting on delivery: (Fig.1)

2) Trail run on performance of Wuxi JACK HJ20, by means of longitudinal straightening on a H Beam: (Fig.2)

2. Put into Use: HJ20 model has same longitudinal straightening principle/ machine structure, and operation as larger models of HJ100/ HJ200/ HJ300, which have been covered in the previous sections:

B. Structure and Main Units of Metal Structure BOX H Beam Length Direction Straighten Machine:


1. Composition of BOX H Beam Lengthwise Straighten Machine:


1) Mechanical main frame;

2) Input and output conveyor roller tables;

3) Hydraulic system for driving straightening operation ram;

4) Electric control system and operation panel;

2. Mechanical Mainframe of BOX H Beam Lengthways Straighten Machine:


1) The main components include: Stationary working bed/ Acting pressing beam/ Straightening use cylinder / Supporting roller tables;

2) Straightening drive cylinder is fixed onto horizontal beam. Its movement is guided with piston rod, during straightening pressing working period of the machine;

3) The 2 pieces of straightening force blocks are installed at front face of pressing beam. Its secured interval positions can be adjusted manually. This interval equals to single time straightening length in the machine. After adjustment, the 2 blocks are secured manually with screws;

4) To avoid conflict between workpiece and the 2 force blocks during workpiece sending in, there are 2 pieces of positioning cylinders equipped in the machine, which has 1335mm interval between each other. These 2 positioning cylinders can push workpiece away from the 2 force blocks when necessary:

3. Input and Output Conveyors of Metal Structure BOX H Beam Longitudinal Straighten Machine:


1) Input and output conveyors are for sending in and out workpiece BOX Beam and H Beam, into and out of the machine respectively;

2) Both the input and output conveyors consist of driving and idle roller tables;

3) Infeed and outfeed roller tables all have 8,000mm length;

4) Outfeed roller table is driven with motor reducer;

4. Hydraulic System in Steel Structure BOX H Beam Horizontal Press Straighten Machine:


1) Function: Hydraulic system is for providing heavy force, which drives on action of pushing and clamping workpiece firmly;

2) Equipped with intake and pressure filters: One filter works during commissioning; The other filter manages on official running of the machine;

3) Main components of hydraulic system include: Pump station/ Straightening purpose and Positioning purpose cylinders/ hose;

4) Long service life: Equipped with fine filter, hydraulic system makes sure long term reliable running of the machine itself.


C. Operation Precaution of Metal Structure BOX H Beam Horizontal Press Straighten Machine:


HJ series is a mature product with intuitive and user friendly operation. On the other hand, there are several points for attention on its normal working:

1. Transverse Beam of BOX H Beam Lengthways Straighten Machine:


Pressing Head (Point 3) and the two moving carriages (Point 1 and 2)

1) These are longitudinal straightening execution unit of the machine;

2) Material and Processing: These length direction straightening elements are made of the material 35 molybdenum complex, and went thru heat treatment, with sufficient strength to withstand repeat straightening job on daily basis;

3) These lengthways straightening elements have the same service life as the HJ model machine itself, and do not need to be replaced under normal condition;

4) On the other hand, to have a reasonable and thoughtful maintenance on these critical units, is a great contributing factor on stable and consistent running of the machine;

2. Workpiece Position: Before advance and retreat of input and output conveyor, be sure to take BOX H Beam away from the two moving carriages (Point 1 and 2) and pushing cylinders (Ejector One and Two):

3. Oil Cylinder Position: Before fulfilling longitudinal straightening workpieces in the machine, be sure to retract pushing cylinder, otherwise the cylinder may be damaged:

4. Level Adjustment: Before operation, adjust height of supporting rollers of mainframe, making sure H Beam web at the same level as the straightening driving cylinders of the machine.


D. Trial Run on Metal Structure BOX H Beam Lengthways Straighten Machine:


1. Before Trial Run on BOX H Beam Longitudinal Straighten Machine:


1) Condition Check: Perform trial and idle run on the machine, making sure normal condition of all components and parts, and all transmission units are applied with lubricating oil or grease;

2) Start conveyor motor both in Forward and Reverse directions three times repeatedly, making sure its normal running of the machine;

3) In inching mode, check and make sure revolve direction of oil pump motor is identical with the sign indicated on the fan. Then start on the motor, and regulate hydraulic pressure to around 10Mpa. After four minutes idle running, start all cylinders in inching mode five times repeatedly to check they are in normal condition;

4) Significance: Trial production of machine can begin after confirming all are in normal condition;

2. In Trial Run of BOX H Beam Horizontal Press Straighten Machine:


1) Manually regulate on distance between the two moving carriages along the transverse beam, and secure its with bolts manually at completion of adjustment:

2) Hoist H Beam or other kinds of workpiece (BOX Beam, steel structure member, section steel) onto input conveyor with travel crane, pressing “FORWARD” button, advancing H Beam to straightening section:

3) Press “Press and Straightening button, driving the pressing head by means of oil cylinder to straighten workpiece in the machine;

4) At completion of straightening, press “Release” button, the pressing head retracts driven with oil cylinder again;

5) Press “Auxiliary Extend” button, pushing workpiece away from straightening supporting block (The two Ejectors); Then press “Auxiliary Shrink” button, and retract the cylinders;

6) Press “Advance” button, workpiece travels forward in certain distance in the BOX H Beam Longitudinal Straighten Machine;

7) Repeat the above mentioned steps, until completing straightening task along entire length of the workpiece.
