1. Task: Same as the previous product of LHE12, the LHC12 cantilever structure BOX Beam SAW Welder Machine, also performs on submerged arc welding on assembled, backing welded, and electroslag welded BOX Beam. In BOX Beam Production Line, either LHE12, or here LHC12 are installed at finished SAW welding station;
1) Automatic Line for Welding: As introduced in LHE12 model machine, benefiting from its half open structure, LHC12 model is more applied in automatic line. This is the reason sometimes we also name it automatic welding line;
2) Times of SAW Welding: There are four pieces of welding seam along the four edges of BOX Beam. So, for one piece of BOX Beam, it is necessary to be welded two times;
3) As can be observed from attached photo, after welding two edges, the BOX Beam is overturned 180° and conveyed to the next station of another set of LHC12 BOX Beam Welder Machine, for implementing on the remaining two seams SAW job on BOX Beam.
1) Shortage: As mentioned in the previous product of LHE12 gantry type, this LHC12 cantilever structure machine does not run as steadily as gantry structure, if with no other additional measures taken;
2) For this reason, two actions are introduced here in LHC12, to make sure stable running of the trolley along the rail:
a) One is its double drive of moving trolley. This means, There are two sets of A.C. motors, which are used to drive and guide the trolley into movement. These 2 A.C. motors are fit at both sides of the moving trolley;
b) The other solution is: There are two pairs of rollers at both sides of the moving trolley, which lean against both sides of the rails tightly, fully guaranteeing on steady and reliable running of the moving trolley;
This includes:
1) Motor drive moving trolley;
2) Column;
3) Overhanging beam;
4) Welding arm and torch;
5) Mechanical welding seam tracker of welding torch;
6) SAW welding flux recycling unit;
7) Pneumatic system;
8) SAW power supply and its console;
9) Welding wire feeder;
10) Electrical control system;
As can be found from above, LHC12 BOX Beam SAW Welder Machine has similar structure as XQ12 BOX Beam CO2 gas shielded back welding machine, but with different welding mode and task;
1) The two sets of welding arm and its carriages are installed on the overhanging beam;
2) To make balance of the machine trolley movement along the rail, the two sets of SAW power supply are put on the base of the moving trolley, with only the welding flux recovery units and welding wire feeders on the overhead platform of the overhanging boom;
1) Precise management on the welding torch position, making it aiming at welding seam all the while, is the crucial point of guaranteeing on welding quality of this BOX Beam submerged arc welding;
2) For this purpose, there is guiding roller being fit on the welding tip, which can adjust the welding tip in all directions along vertical, horizontal leftward and rightward, horizontal forward and backward. The mechanical welding seam tracing unit makes the welding torch directing at welding seam and at a certain distance away from the seam, from beginning to end of SAW welding operation, making it running stably during the entire working period of the LHC12;
