A. Background and Usage of 3 Axis 600/9 Chuck type Plasma Flame CNC Pipe Cutting Machine:

1. Applied History: As introduced in the product section of 5 Axis 2500/9 model, the 3 Axis 600mm series chuck type is the earliest product groups in CP Series Plasma Oxygen fuel CNC Pipe Cutting Machine. All the following models are developed on the basis of experience and feedback accumulated in the process of this chuck type model;

2. Function: As the “Simplest and smallest” of its kind, 3 Axis 600/9 model has function of cut-off and hole cutting on the small pipes, with diameter up to Φ600mm. The longest length of pipe is 9m.

B. Technical Features of 3 Axis Chuck type Plasma Flame CNC Pipe Cutting Machine:

As the sub-group of machine on CNC control pipe cutting, this model is specifically for small pipes with the fixture of chuck type, there are some personalities in these models of small diameter, which are different from 5 Axis/ 6 Axis/ 7 Axis configurations:

1. Specialty of Cutting Torch in 3 Axis Chuck type Plasma Flame CNC Pipe Cutting Machine:

1) Degree of Freedom on Cutting: Different from cutting torches in 5 Axis/ 6 Axis/ 7 Axis models, the cutting torches here in 3 Axis model machine do not have mechanism for its tilting and revolving movement;

2) Instead, the cutting torches just have mechanisms for straight up and down, as well as transverse movement:

2. Standing style Work Station in 3 Axis Chuck type CNC Pipe Intersection Cutting Machine:

Depending on workpiece and machine size, for the purpose of easy operation, there are 2 types of work stations in Wuxi JACK CNC-CP series machine:

1) Standing station for small diameter Φ600mm specification Chuck type (As well as Φ1400mm specification models): (Fig.3)

3. Chuck type Fixture in Φ600mm Specification CNC Pipe Intersect Cut Equipment:

The clamping and supporting unit for Φ600mm diameter small pipes machine is different from that of the machine models for medium and large size (Φ1400mm/ Φ2000mm/ Φ2500mm/ Φ3000mm), which is of friction roller type;

This is the reason behind that for Chuck type CNC Pipe Cutting Machine:

1) For operation of CNC control pipe intersection cutting, the linear velocity of pipe revolve, or cutting speed, is within the same range for all sizes of pipe (Please check “Cutting Speed” in parameters table at the end of introduction for each product);

2) For this reason, under the same linear velocity of pipe cutting, small pipe revolve has much more momentum compared with medium and large pipes. In other words, it is much easy to have issue of drifting than larger size pipes, which brings along remarkable negative effect on cutting process;

3) So, for Flame and Plasma CNC Pipe Cutting Machine of small pipe (Φ600mm), chuck fixture unit is necessary to secure the pipe during revolve;

4) The 3 claw chuck is introduced to this small diameter range machine for this purpose:

5) Working together with several sets of supporting brackets along the horizontal bed of the machine, this chuck fixture serves as perfect tightening and holding unit for pipe revolve.
