The 5,000mm span double drive Gantry type CNC Plasma Cutting machine shown in the attached picture has both plasma cutting and flame cutting capability.
1) In machine with both flame and plasma cutting functions, the add on of flame cutting torch only increase manufacturing cost of the machine slightly;
2) Just cost of the mechanical servo motor drive moving carriage/ cutting torch complex, and corresponding gas tubes itself;
1) Meanwhile, for adding on plasma cutting into machine, one more group of plasma cutting system means one more set of plasma power supply and cutting kits;
2) In this way, it will lead to purchasing price nearly at same level as the CNC Plasma Plate Cutting Machine itself, especially for the plasma power supply of higher cutting capacity;
3) This means, the adding on additional one set of plasma cutting unit brings along 50% ~70% higher of the machine cost;
3. This is the reason that, for CNC Plate Flame Plasma Cutting Machine, the common seen configuration is one set of plasma cutting torch together with one to three sets of flame cutting torch, this is the case with the machine shown in the attached picture;
1) As for installing plasma cutting torch into machine, it can be either occupy a moving carriage by itself;
2) Or, more common seen to be adopted, for the purpose of saving manufacturing cost of the machine, plasma cutting torch share the same carriage with another piece of flame cutting torch;
3) Please check the middle carriage shown in the attached first and second pictures. The plasma cutting torch is installed on the horizontal motorized carriage by means of a retainer, working together with another set of flame cutting torch:

5. Working Capability: With 3 sets of servo motor drive horizontal move cutting carriages and hence three pieces of CNC control cutting torches working together, this set of CNC-CG5000 5m cutting width machine can cut three pieces of identical workpieces of special shape at the same time;
6. Here a complement is the CNC Plate Plasma Cutting Machine shown in the first picture is at half assembled stage: CNC and plasma power supply are not fit in. Please check the attached third and fourth pictures for these two important units in the machine:

In machine, cutting torch height controller is of vital importance for normal working and high standard delivery of finished product, especially when the workpieces steel plates to be cut have fluctuated surface;
1) Phenomenon: That means in the process of flame plasma cutting cutting on steel plate, distance between the cutting torch tip and sheet metal plate surface always change, which will bring inferior cutting quality;
2) Gap Control: To have satisfactory delivery from machine, such gap should be adjusted at the initiation of cutting, and had better be maintained at a constant value even with unequal height of sheet metal plate surface, during the entire working process;
3) Issues with Happen: At the time CNC Plasma Cutting Machine cut fluctuated sheet metal plate, and suppose no torch height controller is not assembled, such gap is very hard to be kept at constant level;
4) Quality Risk: During work period of the machine, too wide gap between cutting torch tip and workpiece will strike out arc voltage, and too narrow gap will make cutting torch bumping with steel plate;
In the machine , plasma cutting torch and flame cutting torch have different kinds of torch height controller:
1) Plasma cutting torch is applicable for Arc Voltage type cutting torch height controller;
2) Oxygen fuel flame cutting torch is suitable for capacitance type height controller;
