High Power Motor Drive ASM160 and ASM200 Rolled Angle Straightening Machine

Heavy duty Models: ASM160 and ASM200 are the two largest models in ASM series Angle Steel Straightening Machine. As you can observe from the attached first photo, its main body also has the biggest overall dimensions.

A. The Distinguishing Features of ASM160 and ASM200 Angle Iron Straightening Machine:

The two most conspicuous specialties with ASM160 and ASM200 model machine of Steel Angle straighten are its dimension and way of top straightening rollers adjustment:

1. Overall Size of the ASM160 and ASM200 Angle Steel Straightening Machine:

1) Overall Dimension: Please check the attached 2^nd photo on general design and layout sketch of Wuxi JACK ASM160 and ASM200 model Rolled Angle Straightener machine. Taking the gentleman in the attached first photo as a reference, mechanical main frame of this ASM200 model machine of Angle Steel straightening, has total height of 2260mm (Including the 5 sets of A.C. motor on the top); Total length of 3700mm (Mechanical main body only) and total width of 2310mm;

2) The larger cross section Angle Steels generally have longer length. So, compared with the often adopted length of 5.8m ~ 11m roller table in ASM series Rolled Angle Straightener, both input and output conveyors of the ASM160 and ASM200 Angle Iron Straightening Machine has 11m length each;

2. Way of Top Straightening Rollers Adjustment in the Angle Iron Straightening Machine:

1)  As we introduced in the product section of “Fast Speed Automatic Machine for Lengthways ASM130 Angle Steel Straightening”, In small and medium models of ASM series machine (Standard models for Steel Angle straighten: ASM63/ ASM100/ ASM130), the downward pressing of upper straightening rollers is completed by hand: Turning the handwheels manually during working of these Rolled Angle Straightener. Shown in the below photo:

Way of manual turning worm gear and hand wheels, in light and mudium duty models: (Fig.1)

2) While in medium large and large models of the machine (Standard models: ASM160/ ASM200), the above mentioned handwheels are replaced with A.C. worm gear motor reducers. Because thickness of Angles Steels in ASM160 and ASM200 model machine is too big to be straightened by manual turning, for fulfilling tasks of these large Angle Iron straightening:

3. Adjusting Hand Wheels in ASM200 Angle Steel Straightening Machine：

1) Checking from the attached first photo, you may wonder why there are still handwheels installed at back side of the A.C. worm gear motor reducers;

 2) This is for providing customers with two choices in operating this heavy duty model machine, for implementing on Rolled Angle straightening;

3) And, here we want to stress that, according to our past experience on the machine, A.C. worm gear motor reducers are more helpful than manual job in daily work of the ASM160 and ASM200 Rolled Angle Straightener machine.

B. Technical Features of ASM160 and ASM200 Heavy duty Rolled Angle Straighten Machine:

1.  Straightening Mechanism in Rolled Angle Straightener Machine:

1) This includes five pieces of upper position assembled straightening rollers, and four pieces of lower position assembled straightening rollers, as shown in the attached third photo;

2) In Wuxi JACK ASM160 and ASM200 model machine, for carrying out Angle Steel straightening operation, the interval between any two pieces of upper position assembled straightening rollers is 500mm; While the interval between any two pieces of lower straightening rollers is 700mm;

3) Straightening speed on the Angle Steel is 6000 mm/min. (Constant speed), which is the universal working speed among all models of the ASM series Rolled Angle Straightener machine. On the other hand, we can specially make quicker straightening speed if customer request on it. Please check attached video, demonstrating on straightening process in Wuxi JACK ASM200 model machine, for implementing on Angle Steel Straightening job;

2. Motors Power of Angle Steel Straightening Machine:

1)  There are two types of A.C. motor in one set of ASM160 or ASM200 model machine, of Angle Steel straightening task: The main driving reducer (Please check the attached 4^th photo on trial run of ASM160 / ASM200 models Rolled Angle Straightener machine at Wuxi JACK facility, the green color floor mounted), which has power of 18.5kW, one set, in one set of the ASM160/ ASM200 model machine, for successfully straightening on large Angle Irons;

2)  And the aforesaid five sets of A.C. worm gear motor reducers, (You can identify from the attached first and fourth photos), blue color, which has power of 3.1kW, five sets in total, in one set of the ASM160 or ASM200 models machine, for effectively straightening on large Angle Irons;
