1. The 5 Axis 2000/9 model is an often used model, in CP series Automatic CNC Pipe Cutting Machine, because of its medium size of diameter and length for workpiece, and its “intermediate” level control complicacy of 5 Axis, which can meet extensive range of demand in the field of CNC control pipe cutting;
1) The attached 1st photo is on this large machine without pipe laid;
2) A piece of large diameter pipe, being laid on friction rollers support of this Large Scale CNC Pipe Cutting Machine: (Fig.1)
2. Here the 5 Axis 2000/9 means that, this automatic equipment can cut and make beveling on pipes with diameter up to Φ2000mm and length 9m, under the 5 CNC control Axis along pipe length/ radius/ pipe rotation/ longitudinal swing/ radius swing:

1. As explained in the product of 3 Axis 600/9 model automatic machine, the workpiece pipe holding unit is different between models for small size pipe (Φ600mm diameter) and models for medium and large size pipe (Φ1400~ Φ3000mm diameter):
1) The small diameter Φ600mm grade machine adopts with 3 claw chuck type fixture: (Fig.4)
2) The medium and large size pipe (Φ1400~ Φ3000mm diameter) models machine adopt with friction roller type: (Fig.5)
The reason why these models adopt with friction roller type:
1) Pipe revolve is in the same linear velocity for all models of CP series machine;
2) Medium to large diameter pipes have much less momentum than small diameter pipes, or more inertia;
3) So, in medium to large models machine, risk of pipe drifting is little, and there is no need to have dedicated clamping unit such as 3 claw chuck for small pipes to secure the pipe;
1) During operation of the medium to large range (Φ1400~ Φ3000mm diameter) models machine, workpiece pipes can revolve smoothly and stably without drifting, by means of friction force between pipe and the friction rollers;
2) Advantage of friction roller structure is its ease of loading and unloading of pipe onto the machine, which can save labor intensity and cycle time fairly;
3) Production of the friction rollers are made of #45 steel going thru special heat treatment of quench, with strong strength and long life. It is not necessary to replace the friction rollers under normal condition, which means same service life as the machine itself.
