As fully automatic machinery on SAW (Submerged arc welding), I H Beam SAW Welding Machine integrates below function cells into one single set of equipment:
1) Motor drive moving gantry frame, moves along parallel rails in adjustable welding velocity;
2) Drive, guide, transmission unit for gantry movement, including A.C. motors and reducers, heavy duty high precision linear guiderails;
3) Two sets of SAW welding machines, including control console and welding wire feeding unit;
4) Two sets of SAW welding flux recovery and reuse machines, including sending and suction hoses, flux hopper;
5) Two sets of welding arc tracker unit, mechanical type, no need to have manual manipulation during SAW welding;
6) Electric control system, including operating panel and hand held pendant
Into convenient and easy operation group. One operator can manage on all these working cells.
1. Structure Feature: Compared with LHC and LHT models H Beam Welding Machine, which has open structure, LHA series gantry structure has enclosed mechanical frame, which gives confinement on workpiece size;
2. Correspondingly, there exist model variations on gantry frame I H Beam SAW Welding Machine, for accommodating on different sizes and designs of workpieces:
1) LHAZ series middle operating type;
2) LHAC series lateral operating type;
3) LHG / LHD special design models
1) Application: Applied in semi-automatic or manual H Beam Production Line; Or work as single set welding machinery;
2) Shown in the lefthand photo, operating pendant and SAW control consoles are installed at middle point of main frame horizontal beam, this is basic difference with respect to LHAC models lateral operating type;
3) Operator Position: So, during work, operator stands at middle isle between the 2 arrays of workpiece racks, beneath motor drive moving gantry frame of the machine.
1) Advantage: Reduce Number of Operator: 1 operator is sufficient for operating and monitoring on working process on the 2 pieces of H Beam simultaneously. Labor saving, reduces variable cost;
2) Disadvantages:
a) Operator labor intensity is more intensive than operators of LHAC models;
b) Wider Land Space Involved: For the same of H Beam web max. height, LHAZ takes 10% wider workshop area than LHAC models.
1) Welding Efficiency: There are 2 sets of welding torch in one set of LHAZ. So, the machine can fulfil SAW welding on two pieces of H Beam simultaneously;
2) H Beam Flipping: With the help of traveling crane or other tool, every piece of H Beam needs to have 4 times 90° flipping, to complete 4 passes of welding seam. This poses certain challenge on operator safety/ working pace, and workpiece protection;
3) Welding Technique: Single Arc/ Twin Arc/ Taden Arc submerged arc welding.

3) Operator Position: During work, operators stand at both sides external of H Beams supporting rack, 1 people at 1 side respectively, beneath and inside the motorized moving mechanical frame;
4) 2 Arrays of H Beam Holding Racks: Correspondingly, H Beam orientation is also different from LHAZ middle operating.
1) Welding Efficiency: 2 groups of welding torch units in 1 set of machine, welding on 2 pieces of H Beam together;
2) Number of Operator: Two, 1 people takes care on 1 piece of H Beam welding operation respectively;
3) Technical Features of LHAC side managing I H Beam SAW Welding Machine are same as LHAZ center managing: Welding technique (Large current SAW)/ Productivity (2 pieces simultaneously)/ H Beam handling;
4) Electric Control: There is interlock in machine electric control system, so that 2 operators operation in pace can be 100% guaranteed; No wrong operation happened.
1) Positive 1: Compacter overall dimension than LHAZ models: Occupy less workshop area;
2) Positive 2: Less stressful workload than LHAZ models: One operator monitors on SAW welding operation of one H Beam only, compared with two pieces in LHAZ center control;
3) Weak Point: Double variable cost compared with LHAZ center management.
1) LHA4C: For welding on BOX/T/I/H Beam with max. web height 1500mm. This is the model with the biggest sell volume, developed for HB1500 H Beam Production Line;
2) LHA5C: For welding on BOX/T/I/H Beam with max. web height 2000mm, developed for heavy duty HB1800/HB2000 H Beam Production Line.
