1. Function: Edge Rounding Machine, the other name is End Plate Trimming Machine, trims out round angle of Φ2mm- Φ2.5mm on the 4 corners of workpiece, under heavy force squeeze and in high efficiency;
1) Metal plates, especially carbon steel plate, from minimum width of 150mm up to 3,000mm, thickness from 8.5mm to 40mm, processed under different machine structure:

1) The edge rounded steel plates will be used as assemblies in machineries working in wet environment;
2) The edge rounded I Beams and H Beams will be fabricated into larger steel structures, which in turn being used in large projects. For example, now in February 2026, a west European customer is communicating with Wuxi JACK on our H Beam End Plate Trimming Machine, being planned to serve on series of large projects, which will be kicked off in year 2027;
3) Double Functions of Deburring and Trimming: During edge rounding operation, not only edges of workpieces are grinded from sharp angles into round angles, but also these edges acquire good effect of being polished and deburred;
1) Raise Painting Adhesion: Rounded angles are helpful on improving painting adhesion performance: Painted surface of workpieces is less likely to peel off. This has great significance on manufacturing machineries which work in humid environment, or directly operate in Sea, river, lake: Application of Edge Rounding Machine helps maintaining the best degree of long term painting quality and durability of these machineries operating in seaside surroundings;
2) User Friendly Handling: Besides, round edges of H Beams flanges and steel plates are safer and more convenient for handling and convey;

4) Orientation and dimension of edge rounding rollers for clamping on plate versus I H Beam;
Can be divided into 3 types:
1. Open structure small size for end trimming on small width plates: RH800 / RH1000;
2. Box frame structure large size for edge rounding on large width wide plate: RH1500 / RH2000/ RH2500 / RH3000;

Small width narrow steel plates:
1) Length from 1,000mm to 12,000mm or longer. For example, now in February 2026, a west European customer asked the allowable length of workpiece to be up to 20,000mm;
2) Width from 150mm to 800mm (RH800) or 1,000mm (RH1000);
3) Thickness from 9.5mm to 40mm. For too small thickness, the edge rounding roller is easy to glide into plate, causing unstable edge rounding performance;

1) There are 3 pieces of hydraulic oil cylinder drive downward pressing rollers in machine: Because of wider width of steel plates, when it is end trimmed, center position of the large width plate will be pressed firmly;
2) More Sophisticated Operating Steps: This also involve complicated control on working elements, including supporting and aligning on steel plates in central operating area of machine. This helps the machine has completely different structure.

For all the working units in the machine, to attain the target of high quality and high speed deburring and edge rounding operation, below 4 factors need to be considered ahead of time:
1) Reasonable structure and configuration of machine;
2) Dimension of entire machine frame, assemblies, and components --- These are involved in specific design prints of each model;
3) Drive mode on each operating step;
4) Materials and machining process of machine components.
For all the models of machine: RH800 to RH3000, these are critical control points for work:
1) Edge obliqueness of workpieces should conform to requirement. Shown as below:

2) The above Photo 1: Check and confirm edge rounding rollers are in normal state, and within expected operating life;
3) Safety Assurance (Photo 2): Confirm on normal condition of security assurance mechanisms in the machine: Alarming system/ Emergency stop button/ limit switches/ hard stop;
4) Photo 3: Check on hydraulic system/ motor reducer, and compressed air circuit;
5) Photo 4: Finally, make absolute alignment on edges of workpieces steel plates, by means of horizontal and vertical alignment units in the machine. And operate with operating pendant.

2. Suitable Work Environment:
The common point of these machineries is their high humidity working environment: Seaside or in the sea. So, everyday being eroded with sea water, the coating and painting surface of these machineries face great challenge on protection;

RH800 and RH1000 small models are applied at initial work stations of:

2) For I H Beam Flange Edge Rounding:
RH800 model is deployed at EOL (End of line) of H Beam Production Line, for end trimming on fabricated H Beams, ahead of subsequent painting and coating zone;
