2. Unique Ability of Angular End Face Milling in Wuxi JACK Steel Beam End Facing Machine:

1) Over 90% end face milling operation in this machine is along vertical end plane of workpieces;

Technical Details of Wuxi JACK Pipe and Steel BOX H Beam CNC End Face Milling Machine

1. CNC Controller of CNC Pipe BOX H Beam End Facing Machine:

1) Origin: CNC is originated from that of CNC Strip Plate Cutting Machine. For this reason, there are many commands/ Functions inside the CNC, which is still fitting for plate cutting use;
2) Main Functions: Meanwhile, because of lesser function involved in end face milling operation, for example, there is no necessity of workpiece nesting/ torch height controlling … as in the case of CNC control plate cutting, all the functions required on the CNC-DX series CNC End Face Milling Machine can be identified in this CNC controller;
3) Powerful Capability: So, this control system matches perfectly with the machine, helping upgrading it to a new level and generation. And, both the CNC machines on plate cutting and on section steel Beam end face milling work in rugged working condition of spark/ heat/ scrap, there is no issues of “Not acclimatized” with this CNC controller;

2. Switch between Metric System and English System in CNC Pipe Beam End Face Milling Machine:

5) As we can see from the photos, in practical application, the DX series machine itself just occupy land area of 3,000mm length (This is determined by horizontal facing stroke of machine) by 2,000mm width (Width of machine base bed) at the most; While its workpiece racks usually take much larger area due to the long length of workpiece, in the form of several individual brackets.

1. Mechanical Frame of Pipe BOX I H Beam End Facing Machine: 

This is main frame of the machine, mainly composed of:
1) Horizontal fixed stationary base bed --- Its length corresponds with X axis end face milling stroke;
2) Motor drive horizontal move upright column --- Its height corresponds with Y axis end face milling stroke;

2. Milling Head of Steel Beam End Facing Machine:

1) This is the core working element of the machine, which directly determines finished effect, and end facing efficiency;
2) Three Degrees of Freedom for Milling Head:
a) X axis along horizontal direction, relates with cross section width of workpiece;
b) Y axis movement along vertical direction, related with cross section height of workpiece;
c) Z axis 0°~45° angular swing, relates with end face obliqueness of workpiece;

Operation on Wuxi JACK CNC Pipe Beam End Face Milling Machine

1. Control Principle of CNC End Face Milling Machine:

The above 1st photo shows control theory in the CNC machine:
1) The lefthand CNC system is central controller of the entire machine, which sends out real time commands to, and receives real time feedback signals from execution units, during end face milling operation;
2) The middle 2 sets of servo driver are communication interface between “Brain” (CNC) and “Arms and Legs” (Servo motor and milling mechanism) of the CNC Pipe Beam End Face Milling Machine: One for controlling X axis (Horizontal) and one for controlling Y axis (Vertical) movement of milling head, which send out the displacement signal to servo motors. The servo drivers completes on negative close loop on movement control during operation;
3) The right hand 2 sets of servo motors are executing units of the machine, which are equipped with encoders for detecting on actual position of facer blades on milling head;
4) Control and Detection: During operation of the machine, based on shape and size of workpiece cross section, CPU of CNC controller calculates on and convert position signals into binary command, and in turn send to servo driver of servo motors, and make analysis based on actual position of facer blade.

 

2. General Outline on Operating CNC Pipe Beam End Face Milling Machine:

1) The above 2nd and 3rd photos indicate on CNC operating interface of the machine. Operator can select proper milling program from library embedded in the CNC, and key in the dimension data of working parts;
2) For complicated workpieces, the original file of working part can be copied into the CNC controller directly, and CNC controller will convert it into executing program, which will be implemented in the CNC End Face Milling Machine;
3) Real Time Detecting on Milling: During operation, interface screen of CNC controller will display real time data of machining trace happened in the machine, and operator can observe on progress of end facing operation, which is implemented in the machine.
