1. Task: This is a set of rather special compact size CNC Flame Plasma Cutting Machine, for fulfilling shape cutting on metal plate, by means of:
1) Dry type Oxygen flame cutting on carbon steel plate, thickness up to 150mm;
2) Underwater plasma cutting on carbon steel/ Non-ferrous metal/ Alloy steel plate, thickness up to 32mm;
3) Its specialty and challenge on machine producer lies in concurrent use of both dry type and underwater type thermal cutting, being integrated into same set of cutting machine;
1) Cutting Width: The max. width of mechanical gantry is 2700mm. Correspondingly, the largest width of metal plates for cutting is 1900mm;
2) Cutting Length: Length of gantry moving rails (24kg/m) is 8000mm. Correspondingly, the largest length of metal plates for cutting is 6000mm;
3) Quantity of Cutting Torch: The machine has one piece of plasma and 1 pieces of Oxygen fuel cutting torches each. Considering the small width of gantry horizontal beam, there is only 1 piece of motorized moving carriage, installing the 2 cutting torches together:

4) There is no strip cutting torches in this small cutting machine;
1) Structure: Mechanical main gantry is of ∏ shape (Inverted U) structure, with compact structure and good form. The integral main body is stress relieved after welding;
2) Double Drive: Considering the customer requirement on stability/ smoothness/ precision of cutting operation, although this is a small size machine, movement of its mechanical frame is still with double drive. In other words, there are 3 groups of servo drive systems in this compact machine:
a) 1 group for driving cutting torch carriage along transverse horizontal beam - X axis;
b) The other 2 groups for driving machine main frame along longitudinal cutting rail- Y axis;
3) The 3 pieces of ADTECH Servo Driver, which drive 3 sets of 750W servo motor during CNC control cutting operation: (Fig.2)
Main Units: Plasma cutting power supply is composed of:
1) Chinese brand HUAYUAN model LG-200HA;
2) Equipped with HYW-400D cooling unit;
3) 1.5m length HYPERTHREM MAX200 cutting torch;
a) The HYW-400D cooling unit equipped in CNC-CG2700 model plasma flame CNC Plate Cutting Machine: (Fig.3)
b) The small and light weight LH-200HA plasma cutting power supply is installed onto cutting torch moving carriage: (Fig.4)
1) The 1 piece of Oxygen flame cutting torch and 1 piece of plasma cutting torch share the same set of moving carriage, which is installed on the front horizontal beam of the mechanical gantry;
2) The switching between flame cutting and plasma cutting is controlled by means of control switch, on operating panel or CNC control station of the machine;
3) The flame and plasma cutting torches, and its integrated moving carriage of CNC-CG2700 model machine: (Fig.5)
4) For acquiring satisfactory underwater plasma cutting, up and down vertical stroke of the cutting torches should be above 150mm. This is for the purpose of avoiding collision between cutting torches and the water fending plates surrounding the underwater cutting platform;
1) Oxygen flame cutting torch is equipped with automatic ignitor, and capacitance type cutting torch height controller;
2) Plasma cutting torch is equipped with arc voltage type cutting torch height controller, and anti-collision unit;
3) Plasma Cutting Technology: Plasma power supply adopts with IGBT inverter technology which has high reliability and efficiency for plasma plate cutting. It is light weight;
4) Pre-set Current Function: Stepless (Or called continuous) adjustable cutting current, suitable for cutting various thickness workpiece. To ensure cutting quality and save energy, low current is applied to cut thin plate, and high current is applied to cut thick plate.
1) CNC Control Station is Chinese brand FANGLIN model F2300B, which controls work logic/ Cutting program compile, input and output/ Cutting operation management (Cutting speed, pierce, lead-in line cutting, etc.) of the machine;
2) Operating panel, CNC control station, control console of arc voltage style cutting torch height controller are integrated into an integral operating station;
3) Besides, the machine has a remote operating pendant. This is for the convenience of operator standing at any position at certain distance away from plasma cutting point, during underwater plasma cutting operation;
4) The integrated operating zone and remote pendant of Wuxi JACK CNC-CG2700 model machine: (Fig.6)
1) Movement of cutting torch along transverse X axis is guided with precise linear guiderail, and transmitted with rack;
2) Movement along longitudinal Y axis is guided with parallel heavy duty rails;
3) Guidance of CNC Cutting Torches in CNC-CG2700 model machine: (Fig.7)
1) Elevation system of CNC cutting torch consists of: A.C. motor, high precision gear reducer and leadscrew;
2) Quality Assurance: This unit of torch lifter is positioned with linear guideway, leading torch going up and down along vertical direction in upright, ensuring superior/ stable and controllable cutting quality from machine;
3) There are electric limit switches, on both ends of valid up and down stroke of cutting torch, and covered with dust proof cover outside for effective protection;
4) The entire unit of cutting torch lifter has rational constructure, smooth and non clearance elevation, and high precision;
1) Software Modules: All of Wuxi JACK flame plasma CNC Plate Cutting Machine is supplied with FASTCAM and FASTNEST software, for programming and nesting on cutting programs;
2) How to Use Software: The software is usually run on computer/ laptop ahead of cutting operation, generating cutting program quickly. The cutting program then to be copied into CNC controller of machine, instead of using programming and nesting software on site, during cutting operation in the machine. This can greatly save cycle time of machine, and raise productivity accordingly;
3) The most salient advantage of nesting software is it can design and simulate layout of cutting workpieces on metal plate ahead of time, which can save programming time, and raising utilize ratio of metal steel plate, eliminate scraps in the greatest degree. In this sense, it is very useful for getting highly efficient flame and plasma shape cutting operation:
