Background: The mechanical gantry platform of MP40 model Plate Joint Welding Machine in the first photo was taken at Wuxi JACK ready to ship area, after its installation, commissioning and painting:
1) Specification of Flat Butt Welder machine: The longest length of welding seam in MP40 is 4000mm, or 4m. So, it can be used for joint any two pieces of metal plates with its width ≦4000mm, or piece together any strip plates with length ≦4000mm;
2) Stength of Joint Plate: Do you have concern on strength of the joint plate from this Flat Butt Welder machine? --- Don’t worry, that technical specification of Wuxi JACK MP series machine gives stipulation, that the strength of joint plate from Wuxi JACK Plate Butt Joint Welding Machine has higher strength than its base metal. --- So, how to attain this target?
3) Core Technique and Key Parameters: The higher strength of joint welding seam is realized with melt through welding technology, which means: "One side of workpiece welding, and two sides welding seam formation": In Wuxi JACK MP models machine,
a) The large current (Usually 500~ 1000A for SAW Submerged arc welding, and 350~ 500A for CO2 welding) butt welding is implemented at top side of the metal plates:

b) At the bottom side of plates, there is close arranged copper pads deployed, which forms a “bed” for laying SAW welding flux, and prevent these welding flux from dropping down:

c) Thus, welding seam of good fusion, strong strength and large cover can be formed at both sides of metal plates, fulfilling task of plate joint;
4) Plate Beveling for Welding Fusion: To get perfect condition of plate joining, welding groove should be made, preceding the above mentioned melt through welding in this Flat Butt Welder machine. For this purpose, there is flame plate triple cutting torch at the feed in side of the gantry platform. Please check the 4th photo. It works in the same manner as dedicated Plate Flame Triple Cutting Machine:

Gantry platform is the backbone of the MP models Plate Flat Joint Butt Welding Machine, and connecting junction between input and output roller tables, as well as beveling and welding in this plate Flat Butt Welder equipment. Please check the first photo on its appearance and structure. In Wuxi JACK MP series machine, it has four functions:
You can find there are black color transverse rollers at the lower section of the gantry, which has same height as input and output conveyor of the machine, and works as transition between input and output conveyors roller tables, building up workpiece passage going through the machine;
a) The top section of the mechanical gantry is a wide spread platform (In MP40 model machine, the lateral width of the platform is 2,000mm);
b) Main function units of the plate Flat Butt Welder, including welding power supply/ Welding flux recycling mechanism, as well as cable drag chains of both sides (For butt welding and flame triple cutting), are all put on this platform;
a) Melt Thru Welding Carriage: As shown in the 3rd photo. Motor drive moving carriage of butt welding torch mechanism is installed at the rear top beam of the machine gantry platform, along the two pieces of precise guiderails, and transmitted with rack in the middle between the two parallel guiderails;
b) Function Elements Arrangement: The butt welding torch and its supporting units (Wire feeding spool/ Lifting motor/ Flux Conveying and Recycling tube) of the plate Flat Butt Welder is installed on this moving carriage, deep down into the V slot welding table:

c) Butt Welding Working Speed: Movement in this direction carries out melt through welding in the Plate Butt Joint Welding Machine, which is controlled with A.C. inverter within the range of 200~ 1200 mm/min.;
d) You can find from the first photo, that there are yellow color mechanical limit switches at both ends of torch movement;
Please check the 4th photo. This is similar to butt welding torch system as above mentioned. The flame triple cutting system is installed at front top beam of the machine gantry platform;
