We give the name of this product section “Multi Cutting Capacity”, because in machine for CNC control plasma plate cutting, it has numerous grades of max. cutting thickness. This is different from flame cutting.
CNC Plasma Cutting Machine and CNC Flame Cutting Machine dedicate on different divergent of application:
1) Oxygen Cutting Materials: Flame cutting is good at cutting carbon steel of medium and large thickness;
2) Plasma Cutting Materials: While plasma cutting specializes in thin and medium metal plate. Especially when cutting stainless and Al (Very seldom thicker than 40mm) for plate shape cutting, the plasma cutting prevails over flame cutting completely;
a) Working Speed: For workpiece thickness range of less than 32mm, plasma shape cutting has working speed three to four times that of flame cutting (1600mm ~ 3000 mm/min. in plasma cutting compared with 500 ~ 800 mm/ min. in flame cutting);
b) Cutting Slag: Besides, Plasma cutting delivers with much less cutting slag, this makes it a very high efficient equipment for customers.
1) Formation: The 4,000mm cutting width plasma cutting is derived from machine frame of CNC-CG4000 model gantry moving type CNC Strip Plate Cutting Machine (The biggest selling volume), and configured with one or two sets of plasma power supply in various models;
2) Max. Cutting Thickness: Its cutting capacity can be from max. 22mm to max. 45mm workpiece sheet metal thickness;
a) For high thickness plasma cutting power supply, such as American Hypertherm HPR130, due to its large size and heavy weight, it is generally put on the ground alongside frame of the machine, as shown in the second photo:

3) In minor application, the CNC Plasma Plate Cutting Machine is compact table type, for cutting relatively small size and thickness workpiece, especially non ferrous metal such as stainless steel and Al. a) Machine Quotation Factor: Machine price varies on the basis of cutting capacity of the thickness its plasma power supply can offer: The higher the thickness, the higher the machine price;
i) The second factor is, for plasma cutting, one piece of CNC control cutting torch is powered with one set of plasma power supply;
ii) So, most of the machine for CNC control plasma cutting is equipped with one set of cutting torch;
iii) If it is necessary to have two or more sets of cutting torch, the price of machine nearly doubles: Basically speaking, quotation of plasma power supply account for the biggest share in the total cost of machine;
4) Plasma Power Supply Brands for Choice: There are several brands of plasma power supply to choose from, for plasma cutting: From U.S.A. Hypertherm to Chinese HUAYUAN. In each of the brand, there are several models to select based on expected cutting capacity of CNC Plasma Cutting Machine.
