The L type Welding Positioner with revolving and elevation function has loading capacity of up to 1Ton, and Welding Turning Table vertical stroke of 800mm, which is often used for welding small structure members in Engineering Machinery and or similar application.
1) One of the critical points in design and manufacture L type Revolving and Elevating Welding Positioner, is its drive and transmission mechanism for L arm vertical movement, especially for those L type Welding Positioner with Welding Turning Table loading tonnage less than 2Ton;
a) 0°~360° Rotation of L arm in vertical plane: Driven with mechanical motor reducer and transmitted with leadscrew;
b) 0°~360° revolve of the Welding Turning Table at the front extension of L arm: Also driven with mechanical motor reducer and transmitted with leadscrew;
i. For loading capacity of the Welding Turning Table higher than 2Ton (Including 2Ton), or LBS20 and above, it is hydraulic drive;
ii. For loading capacity of the Welding Turning Table below 2Ton, there are 2 options for driving vertical drive of the L arm: Mechanical motor reducer leading leadscrew, or driven hydraulic system.
Of the above mentioned 2 options for L arm elevation in this Elevating and Revolving Welding Positioner, we prefer and adopt with hydraulic drive:
a) Such selection on hydraulic drive is considered out of safety purpose:
b) During working of this L type Elevating and Revolving Welding Positioner, Suppose the L arm ascends to its top position, and what if defect happens with its driving and transmission system…
c) If the elevation of L arm is driven with motor reducer and transmitted by means of leadscrew, there exist potential risk of L arm falling down: The engagement between the leadscrew and nut may become slipped due to worn condition of fitting nut. And in such case, a chain of malfunction and safety issues may occur;
a) On the other hand, in hydraulic driving system of this Revolving and Elevating Welding Positioner, it is fit with an explosion proof valve;
b) Such way of drive is a fool proof solution for up and down movement of the L arm, and hence eliminate risk of L arm dropping down when it is at its top position of the L type Welding Positioner;
3) In this respect, this LBS10 1 Ton loading capacity of Welding Turning Table can be viewed as either an electric motor drive L type Welding Positioner, considering L arm rotation and Welding Turning Table revolve, or a set of Hydraulic Welding Positioner, in view of its L arm upright direction movement drive.
2) We put it inside bottom cavity of the L type Welding Positioner column. With an integrated button on operating pendant of this Elevating and Revolving Welding Positioner, the hydraulic system can be manipulated;
