HB1800 High Quality Automated Welding H Beam Production Line


The HB1800 Automatic H Beam Welding Production Line produces middle-sized welding H Beam of up to 1800mm web width. It shares same technology process with HB1500/2000 automatic welding H Beam production line.


Description on the work process of a typical automated H Beam production line is as follows:

1)  Raw material preparation by CNC/Strip plate cutting machine: Steel plate is cut into 2 pieces of flange and 1 piece of web;

2)  H Beam Assembly and Tack Weld:

-   One piece of flange and web each are hoisted onto input conveyor of H Beam assembly machine;

-   The flange and web are clamped and positioned;

-   The flange and web are positioned and centered precisely (Assembling);  

-   The flange and web are spot welded Automatically into ⊥-shape;

-   The 2nd piece of flange is hoisted into assembly machine;

-   The 2nd automatic spot-welding is performed to make beam into 工-shape

3)  Flip and Transport:

-   The welded 工-shape H Beam is overturned 90°into H-shape via overturning rack;

-   Transported onto travel-cart of first welding area through conveyor;

-   Lifting unit of travel-cart raises the H-beam off the conveyor, and with the travel-cart, the H-beam is sent onto overturning rack of LHC;

4)  H Beam Submerged Arc Welding of the first 2 seams at the 1st welding area:

-   The overturning rack overturns H Beam 45°;

-   The 1st set of LHC welds the first seam of H Beam automatically;

-   The overturning rack overturns the H Beam 45° to its original position;

-   The H Beam is sent onto overturning rack of the 2nd LHC;

-   The H Beam is flipped another 45° and welded the 2nd seam with the 2nd set of LHC

5)  Flip and Transport:

-  The H-beam is transported onto conveyor through travel-cart;

-  Sent onto movable 180°overturning rack of first welding area by means of the conveyor;

-  The H Beam is overturned 180° and sent to the second welding area via conveyor

6) H Beam Submerged Arc Welding of the second 2 seams at the 2nd welding area

The same auto-welding process as the first welding area for the other two welding seams.

7)  H Beam Flange Straightening

The H-beam is sent to straightening machine (HYJ-series mechanical type or YTJ-series hydraulic type) for its flange deform straightening.


As summary, the entire working process of the automatic H Beam Production Line with saw welder features in high automation and fluent flow. Travel crane is seldom used.  Control system is reliable, and can have interlock among workstations. It is the ideal automatic H Beam welding production equipment.
